Mongrel dog Benni was a real “problem child”.

As a puppy in Greece he got thrown into a well and was left to die. When he got saved he had serious ligament and joint injuries on both hind legs. He was subjected to surgery in Germany and had post operational care in his temporary foster home. In the meantime he has made terrific progress. 2.5 cm of muscle have built up on his “bad” hind leg and he does very well at his weekly mountain training and at physiotherapy on the under-water walking belt. Going for walks of one and a half hour duration is a piece of cake for him now. With increasing frequency he shoots off so fast in his game with other dogs that the others have a hard time keeping up with him. He is happy to be alive every day and has learned so many things.

His foster family declares: “After having tried for more than 14 weeks we have now stopped looking for a new home for Ben and have decided that he will stay with us for the rest of his life. We have grown so fond of him that we could not stand to give him away any more”.

We wish all of you a happy holiday season!
